ripmy.pet is a quiet place to remember a pet who has passed. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect when you use the website and the ripmy.pet game (currently an early rehearsal), why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

ripmy.pet (ripmy.pet and test.ripmy.pet) is run by the ripmy.pet team. For anything about your data, write to hello@ripmy.pet.

What we collect

• Google sign-in (only if you choose to sign in): your Google account ID (the “sub” identifier), email address and display name. We never see or store your Google password.
• Your in-game profile: the nickname you choose for the forest and your avatar's look.
• Your pet's registration: name, species, breed, coat and marking details, what your pet called you (relation), the memo and favourite things you write, and the flag/country you pick.
• Offerings you place at your pet's spot (flowers, toys, treats) and when.
• Photo look results: the colour and marking data (JSON) worked out from a photo — not the photo itself.
• Language and country: your language setting, and the country Cloudflare derives from your connection (we do not store your IP address).
• Basic usage statistics: page views with language and page path, counted with a visitor code that changes every day. No advertising profiles, no cross-site tracking.
• Feedback you send through the feedback form, including an email address only if you add one.

Pet photos

When you use “make a look from a photo”, the photo is sent to AI vision providers only to read coat colours and markings. The photo is deleted as soon as the analysis finishes (or fails or expires); we do not keep the photo file. We keep the derived feature data (colours and markings as JSON) until you pick a look or delete your account.

How we use it

• To run the game: show your forest, your avatar and your pet, and keep them in sync across your devices when you are signed in.
• To keep the service safe and fair, e.g. rate limits based on a one-way hash of your connection — never the raw IP address.
• To understand, in aggregate, which languages and pages are used so we can improve them.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We rely on a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Google (sign-in) and AI vision providers (photo analysis only, as described above).

How long we keep it

• Account, profile, pet registration and offerings: until you delete your account.
• Photo files: only until the analysis ends (minutes), then deleted.
• Photo feature data: until you pick a look or delete your account.
• If you play without signing in, your data stays in your browser's local storage; clearing site data removes it.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the game: on the start screen choose “Delete account”. This removes your account and everything stored with it on our server (profile, pet, offerings and photo results). You can also ask us by email at hello@ripmy.pet. You may also ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it.
